To Surrender, or Not to Surrender

SOS Rescue does NOT currently accept surrendered animals however, before making the final decision to surrender your family pet, even to another organization, please consider the following:

1) For behavioral or housing issues, please contact the Community Pet Help Desk to help you receive help so don't have to give up your pet. You can email or call them at (484) 466-2913.

2) If your cat is injured or sick and you cannot afford the veterinary care needed, please visit the Low-Cost Vet care page provided by Citizens For A No-Kill Philadelphia. 

3) If you need food or basic supplies for your pet, check ACCT Philly and Citizens For A No-Kill Philadelphia for dates, locations and eligibility guidelines for Pet Pantry events in your area.


4) If your pet needs spayed or neutered and you cannot afford the procedure at your local veterinarian's office, low cost spay/neuter is available at several clinics in Philadelphia and its surrounding areas, such as:
